The State University of New York at Buffalo commonly referred to as the University at Buffalo (UB) or SUNY Buffalo, is a public research university with campuses in Buffalo and Amherst, New York, United States. Complete your application within 30 days of starting the online process. Applications must be completed and all documents uploaded by the deadline to be considered for a given round. Incomplete applications will be not be reviewed. When uploading materials to your application, upload them as PDFs and remove password protection from any documents. Application and fee Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) The School of Management is using a test-optional admissions process for our MBA for the 2024 admissions cycle. You have the option to submit GMAT or GRE scores in support of your application, but are not required to do so. If you choose to submit a score, it may improve your chance of being admitted, as well as increase your opportunity for a merit-based scholarship. For more information regarding the GMAT test, dates and places of administration, see the GMAT website. The GMAT institutional reporting code for the full-time MBA program is K6RQX67. The GRE is also accepted for the full-time MBA program. To meet the needs of students who are unable to take the GRE® General Test at a test center due to public health concerns, ETS is temporarily offering a GRE General Test at home option in selected areas. The reporting codes for GRE are 4201 (department code) and 2925 (institutional code). Personal statements Two personal statements are required for admissions consideration: 1. Describe your short-term and long-term career objectives. Be as specific as you can concerning the types of positions and responsibility levels to which you aspire. Describe how earning the UB MBA will help you achieve your goals. Submit a response to ONE of the following three topics: Describe a time you were leading a group that faced a significant problem. How were you able to resolve it in a positive manner? 2. Describe a time when your ethics were challenged. How did you deal with the situation and what did you learn from it? 3. Describe a time when you had a significant misunderstanding with someone from a different background or culture. How did you resolve the misunderstanding? Each personal statement should be uploaded as a PDF.
