Please arrange for 3 references that meet the following criteria in order to have your application considered. One reference from an academic reference from a nurse with a master’s or doctoral degree, who taught you in a theory-based course in a BScN program. One reference from the individual to whom you have directly reported to at work in the past 5 years. The third from a nurse in a leadership position who can speak to your actual and potential contributions within the profession of nursing.

    Please submit a Personal Statement (maximum 4 pages single-spaced) that addresses the following: (Please use headings):  York’s School of Nursing and Graduate Program recognize that there are multiple philosophical traditions that inϐluence nursing. Please describe your own philosophy and provide two examples of how it guides your practice  Please describe your career path and why you are interested in York’s MScN program. Please include why you are interested in graduate education at this particular time, what you think you will bring to the program, and how you believe the program will further your plans for your future in nursing. If there is anything else about yourself that you would like the admissions committee to consider when evaluating your application, please include this information on a separate page and attach to your Personal Statement.
