    University Specific

    Student portfolios must include: 1) Personal Statement: All applicants are required to write a short essay describing their creative and academic ambitions, academic and professional goals, and personal interests. Additionally, applicants should explain why they wish to undertake university art studies on the application. Students pursuing certification in Art Education should include a statement on why they wish to teach art. Statements must be single-spaced and printed on a sheet of 8 1/2” x 11” paper. 2) Digital Portfolio Upload: Portfolios should include 8 to 15 pieces of the best examples of an applicant’s artwork executed in the previous year. Examples in all media are encouraged: painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, photography, electronic media, life drawings, and high-quality sketchbook pages. Labels for images should include name, title, medium, and work dimensions. Brief explanations of the work are encouraged.

  • Credential Evaluation

    Common Document

    For International Only: You may provide a World Education Services (WES) evaluation, but it is not required. WES may also be used to appeal a GPA decision from the Office of Admissions.
