EMBA in MBA (Executive)

Applicants must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

We require both unofficial and official college transcripts from all institutions where you received college credit, including any concurrent enrollment. Unofficial transcripts should be uploaded to your online application. Official transcripts need to be sent directly to the University’s Office of Graduate Admissions.

Describe your first job right after MBA graduation. Include as much detail as possible about your future industry, job title, location, salary, and any other components of your post-MBA career results. How will you use your current skills, professional background, and network to achieve those career results? How will a University of Utah Full-Time MBA help you get that job? Please limit your response to 300 words.

Letter of recommendation from your direct supervisor. The letter must acknowledge the time requirement and your employer’s willingness to support you in completing the program requirements. In addition, the letter should also address your strengths, weaknesses, personal character, and potential for success in the Executive MBA program.

If you are on or requesting an F1 student visa, please provide a copy of the biographical page of your passport. This is the page that has your full name and date of birth.

Tell us about your hobbies, volunteer work, or passions outside work.

A current resume is required. We encourage you to highlight your career progression and major achievements of both your professional and academic history. Your resume should also show education and additional certifications or licenses.

Your statement of purpose essay must address the following topics: Explain your decision and motivation for applying to the MBA program. Why do you feel you are a strong candidate for the MBA program? How will earning an MBA influence your career intentions? The essay is to be single-spaced, typed, and may not exceed one page.
