All applicants must have a previous bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent as determined by the UF Office of Admission’s evaluation of official transcripts.

Arrange to have official transcripts mailed from each postsecondary institution attended (not needed if only attended UF) and be sure to include your UFID on the sealed envelopes. International applicants must mail an official copy in the native language of each transcript or mark sheet, along with official English translations for transcripts not originally issued in English.

A minimum of two recommendations from someone who has supervised the applicant (professor, employer, adviser, volunteer coordinators, etc.) are required. Recommendations from student/peer leaders will not be accepted.

Upload your resume to the online graduate application above. “Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.”

The essay should be completed as part of the online application. Please emphasize: Your motivation for applying to the program Why you think you are a good candidate for the program How the program fits into your future goals Use the essay as an opportunity to highlight what you think we cannot assess from the other application materials. The ideal length for the essay is between 400-600 words.
