MS in Global Health Sciences

A minimum of a bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or the equivalent from an accredited institution is required.

Letters of recommendation should be written by individuals who are familiar with the nature of your preparation for this program and who can provide insight into your potential to succeed as a graduate student, researcher, and scientist, or summer undergraduate researcher (for SRTP/Summer Intern applicants).

In chronological order starting with the present, include all applicable information such as: education; honors and awards; positions held; licensure; membership in professional organizations and societies; research grants; research experience; experience in global health; teaching experience; university service; bibliography (peer reviewed publications, non-peer reviewed publications, abstracts, presentations at meetings); computer skills; language proficiency; extracurricular interests; and community service.

Short Responses To help us get to know you, your interests in global health, and your aspirations for future work, please provide a succinct response for each of the topics below. Each topic has sub questions or themes to help guide your answer, but you do not have to specifically answer every one. Please limit your answers to each main topic to no more than 200 words. Interest in pursuing your MS in Global Health at UCSF: How did you become interested in global health? Why did you select the UCSF IGHS MS program in particular? Why are your pursing your MS at this stage in your career trajectory? Areas of Interest in Global Health: We recognize that students’ interests can change and develop as they progress through the program.
