IB Degree-specific requirements: Applied Science (Engineering) IB Math Analysis and Approaches SL or HL, or IB Math Applications and Interpretations HL. (IB Math Applications and Interpretations SL, or IB Math Studies, are not acceptable.) IB Chemistry IB Physics Academically strong candidates missing either IB Chemistry or IB Physics may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Please submit the names of two referees who can comment on how prepared you are to study at UBC. One of your referees must be able to speak about an activity or experience you describe in your long-answer responses above. Your referees can be your employer, a community member, a coach, a teacher, an instructor, or someone else who knows you well. If you are currently attending high school, one of your referees must be a school official, such as a Grade 12 or senior year counsellor, a teacher, or an IB coordinator. Neither referee should be a friend, a family member, or a paid agent.

You will be required to complete three short design projects that will be assigned through our online system. These projects will be assigned randomly from a bank of questions. You will be given a link to access the creative test online once you have submitted your online application, and will have until January 31 to upload your responses. Each file should not exceed 5MB in size.

A 1 or 2-page summary of your experiences in education, work, travel, volunteering, and other relevant areas. You will be sent a link to the online system to submit your resume after you have submitted your online application, and you will have until January 31 to upload your resume.

Please cite ONE building, landscape, or urban design which is of compelling interest to you. Describe how your selection represents your current understanding of what is meaningful for the design of the built environment. Please be mindful of the 90-second time period to respond. You will be given a link to access the video interview system online after you have submitted your online application and will have until January 31 to complete the video interview.
