MS in Information Technology

Any foreign language transcripts must be translated by a neutral third party (your institution, a credential evaluation service, independent translator, etc). We recommend a certified translation from ATA, ECE or WES.

Upload a scanned official copy of your undergraduate transcript(s) to the on-line application. As noted below, an official paper transcript directly from your undergraduate university is only required upon MSIT enrollment.

Request that two recommenders complete the required MSIT letter of recommendation form by entering the contact information of the recommenders in the online application. Recommenders should be individuals who can ably attest to your professional abilities (i.e. current supervisor(s), former/recent supervisors, clients or customers, team members, colleagues, etc.). An automated email/form will be sent to the recommender once this information is entered.

This is a critical part of your application that gives you the opportunity to articulate your motivations, aptitude, and vision. In 750 words or less please address the following questions: Why are you applying specifically to the MSIT program at Northwestern University? How do you hope to uniquely add value to the experience of your classmates? What are your career aspirations upon completion of the program, and how will MSIT help you reach these goals?
