MSE in Applied Mathematics & Statistics

Unofficial transcripts must be added directly in the application under the “Academic History” section. Include all colleges and universities you have attended, starting with the school(s) where a bachelor’s degree was earned, followed by all other schools with a period of enrollment.

Letters of recommendation must be provided digitally in the application and be uploaded or sent directly from the recommender. We will NOT accept copies sent by the applicant. Please note that the Whiting School of Engineering can only provide access to letters of recommendation to those applicants who have both (1) not waived their right to examine their letters of recommendation, and (2) have been accepted and are matriculated in an academic program at Johns Hopkins University.

Provide a sample of your work relevant to the program you are applying to. If you would like to submit a video or website link, provide a Word Document or PDF that includes a brief description with a link to the video or website.

We recommend providing a copy of your resume/CV that does not include a photo.

1.Provide a statement about your academic and career objectives. 2.Be specific about the field in which you plan to study and your research interests. 3.Describe your preparation beyond what is apparent from your transcripts, which can include research projects, language preparation, or other academic training. 4.This statement is generally 1-2 pages in length.
