MBA in MBA (Full Time)

After the interview, each will be given an impromptu 2 page case study to read and analyse. Time given 35 minutes to read the case and prepare few slides (on A4 sheets with coloured pens). Then present slides for 4 minutes. Interview Sample Questions: 1) Tell me about yourself. (Expect follow-up questions) 2) What do you like to do in your free time? 3) What are your short-term and long-term career goals? 4) Name three firms you would like to work at after your MBA. 5) Why do you want an MBA? Why now? Why IMD? 6) How will you finance MBA 7) What role do you see yourself playing in the IMD community? 8) What clubs will you be involved in? 9) What other schools have you applied to? If you get into all of them, how will you choose where to go? 10) Why is our small class size interesting for you? 11) Tell me about a time when you didn’t get along with your team. What did you do? 12) Tell me about one instance when you disagreed with your boss and how you handled the situation. 13) What is your leadership style? Can you give me an example? 14) If you faced someone on your team who wasn’t pulling their weight, how would you handle the situation? 15) How do you demonstrate reflective and responsible leadership? How would your friends describe you? 16) What are your strengths and weaknesses? 17) Tell me about a time when you were pushed to your limits at work. 18) Tell me about a time when you applied a lesson from a past failure to a new project. What was the impact? 19) Can you tell me about a time when you faced a morally ambiguous situation at work? How did you navigate this, and what did you learn? 20) Describe a situation where you had to make a difficult decision with limited information. How did you approach it, and what was the outcome? 21) How do you see sustainability playing a role in your industry, and how would you incorporate sustainable practices into your work? 22) Why were you aiming for a career in strategy consulting post MBA? 23) In line with your post MBA goals, which companies will you be targeting?
