The Polytechnic Institute of Paris (French: Institut Polytechnique de Paris) is a research university located in Palaiseau, France. It consists of five engineering schools: École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis.

With the Paris-Saclay University, the Polytechnic Institute of Paris is part of the Paris-Saclay project, a research-intensive academic campus, and business cluster developed on the Plateau de Saclay near Paris. The project integrates several engineering schools and research centers that are part of the world's top research organizations in various fields.

The technological university was formed around the École Polytechnique, one of France's most respected and selective grandes écoles. Among its alumni are three Nobel prize winners, one Fields Medalist, three Presidents of France, and many CEOs of French and international companies.

    You must provide an official ID photo that meets the following requirements: 1) In color 2) Different from the photo on the ID card or passport provided in your application form 3) Taken within the last 12 months to reflect your current appearance 4) Taken in front of a plain clear background with nothing behind you 5) Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera 6) Eyeglasses may be worn, but there must not be any glare 7) In JPG/JPEG format and 800 Ko maximum size 8) Selfies, holiday or casual photos are not accepted

  • High School Transcript

    If you have already completed your high school, you must also provide: Your high school diploma along with your final high school exam results in the โ€œcopy of your diplomaโ€ file upload field Your transcripts from your undergraduate studies or a written explanation of what you are doing/intending to do throughout your gap year in the โ€œN+1, N+2โ€ upload field.

  • Letter of Recommendation (LOR)

    You must provide recommendations from two referees. It will not be possible for you to submit your application form until your two referees have uploaded their recommendation letters for you.; hence, it is important to enter the correct contact details of your referees as soon as you begin your application.

    Applicants are required to answer the three personal statement questions, with a maximum of 300 words per question. 1) Reflect and explain how your academic goals and interests fit with ร‰cole Polytechniqueโ€™s Bachelor Program. 2) How do you think your personality and your own experiences will help you integrate into our diverse community? 3) Explain how your interest in science has grown with time. Refer to specific examples or situations that have had an impact on this evolution.
