Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) · Copenhagen Busness School Solbjerg Plads 3 DK 2000 Frederiksberg Denmark

About University:

Copenhagen Business School (Danish: Handelshøjskolen i København) often abbreviated and referred to as CBS (also in Danish), is a public university situated in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is considered one of the most prestigious business schools in Western Europe and the world. CBS was established in 1917 by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education and Research (FUHU); however, it was not until 1920 that accounting became the first full study program at CBS. Today CBS has approximately 20,000 students and 2,000 employees and offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs within the business, typically with an interdisciplinary and international focus. CBS is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AMBA (Association of MBAs), as well as AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), thus making it one of the few schools worldwide to hold the "triple-crown" accreditation, and along with Aarhus BSS, the only two in Denmark. The CBS campus is located in Frederiksberg, close to the center of Copenhagen, and centers on the school's main campus of Solbjerg Plads, completed in 2000. Since the Danish Universities Act of 2003, CBS has had a board of directors with an external majority. The Board of Directors appoints the President of CBS, who is currently Nikolaj Malchow-Møller. Most of the programs are taught in English, and more than half of the faculty is recruited from abroad, making CBS an international academic environment.

If your diploma/certificate is not in English, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian, then you must upload an official translation as well as a scan of the originals.

  • High School Transcript

    Common Document

Certificate and grade transcript for all year including exam results and documentation for completing 1 year of further education. You must upload a copy of the original documents required.

  • Motivation Letter

    University Specific

You must write your motivational essay(s) yourself. Doing this will give you the opportunity to get to know more about the programme and find out what catches your interest and if the programme is indeed something for you. Remember to be concrete and specific when you write your motivational essay; be personal and show us who you are, and what you are like together with other people. 1) What do you find exciting about the programme? It could be specific subject areas, combinations of subjects or methods of working during the programme, or perhaps how it will help you build upon your own background. 2) What does community mean to you in your studies? It could involve academic collaboration with other students, a safe and inspiring study environment, the ability to be yourself, or something else that is important to you. We recommend that the motivational essay should take up approximately 2 A4 pages.
