You can choose one of two short-answer questions. Though their themes are similar, we hope you’ll find the one that speaks to you. We preface both with: "Chapman seeks to enroll a class of students that foster a diverse, dynamic and welcoming campus community. To support this goal, we encourage you to discuss any aspect of your identity, which could include perspectives, experiences, and background, and how they have shaped who you are. With this in mind, please answer one of the following questions (200 words or fewer)." Tip! We encourage you to include insight into who you are and where you come from through your lived experiences. This may include race, unique perspectives, background and how those aspects of identity have shaped you. We are committed to creating a welcoming university where all of our students can fully participate, reach their potential, and benefit from living, learning, and socializing with people different from themselves. Option 1: "Our committee would like to hear about a personal experience or lesson that has helped you better understand who you are now and/or appreciate a perspective different from your own. How would you utilize this understanding to contribute to the values and welcoming fabric of our campus community?" We want to hear your personal story! There’s no “right” answer here, only ways to share more about yourself. Option 2: "Part of the Chapman experience is to help students expand their perspectives. How will you grow personally and/or learn more about others throughout your time at Chapman?" Again, there’s no “right” answer! We want you to try to think about your potential future here at Chapman. Who do you hope to become and how can Chapman aid in the process?

Ask your counselor (or school official) to submit your official high school transcripts. If you have attended multiple high schools, you will need to submit individual transcripts for each institution attended.

Dodge College Personal Statement In 500 words or fewer, tell us what about your distinct experiences/background/values makes you a unique candidate for the program for which you are applying. Please focus on what makes you unique as a person beyond any direct experience you may have in your intended field of study. Use this prompt to talk about aspects of yourself that are not already covered in other parts of your application.

Creative Resume Provide a resume highlighting 5-7 pieces of your best creative projects (1 page maximum). These projects should demonstrate your ability to convey a story or message through creative, artistic or technical talents. As we are only asking for a limited number of projects, include more recent items and projects in which you were the driving force or had a leadership role. These can include class assignments, projects from jobs or internships, or your personal hobbies and freelance work. Your resume should not contain the projects themselves. It is simply a written description of your projects. Use this format to structure your resume: Title: title of the project (length of project if applicable) Reason for creating/Date of creation: You may write “freelance” if it was something you did on your own. Description of item: An in-depth description of the piece, the inspiration or objective, and your specific role in its creation. Also list any awards or special recognition you may have received for the piece
