All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or college,

An official copy of transcripts from the institution in which you received your degree, including any post-baccalaureate education must be sent to the University.

Three letters of recommendation written by a professional and/or academic individual with knowledge of the candidate’s potential for graduate education. All letters must be written on institutional letterhead and utilize an institutional email address

A separate personal statement illustrating your understanding of the field of public health and commitment to public health. (Student will submit directly to Cal State Apply) Methods of illustration may include, but are not limited to: 1. The experiences that have shaped your interest in public health and/or the concentration to which you are applying. 2. Comment on your particular interest in Community Health, Global Health, and/or Latino Health. 3. Describe the one academic experience that has meant the most to you in your educational career. 4. Outline your short- and long-term professional goals. 5. Discuss why you are interested in the graduate MPH program at CSULB, the strengths you bring with you, and the areas in which you would like to increase your expertise and personal growth.

At least one year’s full-time (or equivalent) paid or volunteer experience in public health or a closely related health role. Preference will be given to those with greater experience and skills in public health.
