To apply for a study permit, you must prove that you can support yourself (and dependents) while you are in Canada. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are able to pay their educational and living expenses

Submit copies of all academic transcripts. If in a language other than English, the official document must be accompanied by a certified English Translator. This is sufficient for review. Official transcripts will be required before registration. Official transcripts are defined as being sent directly from the relevant secondary or post- secondary institution to the Office of the Registrar.

Why are you choosing to study in Canada and not locally in your home country? 2. When you return to your home country upon graduation, how do you anticipate the degree program will have been able to equip you the necessary skills, knowledge, and experiences to secure employment? Please include replies to the following: (i) If you will be returning to your employment when you return to your home country, do you expect higher compensation or a promotion at work? (ii) Alternatively, if you are seeking new employment when you return to your home country, what kind of job will it be? Provide evidence to support your answer (such as links to employment outcomes in your country) (iii) Will you start a new business when you return to your home country? If so, please provide details. (iv) Will you be continuing at an existing family business in your home country? If so, please provide the benefits you will bring to the existing family business. 3. Explain your ties to your home country. In addition, provide a timeframe you anticipate needing to regain the expenses of your education and living in Canada. Please include replies to the following: (i) When you complete your studies in Canada, what are the incentives to return to your home country? What close family members do you have in your home country? (ii) Do you own property/or a portion of property in your home country? If so, please be prepared to provide documentation to Immigration to prove ownership. (iii) When you return to your home country, how long will it take you to earn back the cost of your education and living expenses in 4.
