1. Academic Excellence & Course Rigor

  • Applicants should complete a college-preparatory curriculum with advanced-level coursework: AP, IB, or honors is strongly encouraged

  • No official minimum GPA required, but Duke expects a very strong academic record—ideally unweighted 4.0+ .

2. Standardized Testing

  • Duke is test-optional for the 2024–25 cycle

  • If submitted, scores of the middle 50% for admitted students are:

    • SAT: 1520–1570

    • ACT: 34–35
