The United States government requires all international applicants to provide proof of the ability to pay tuition and living expenses before USC can issue a formal letter of admission and the forms required to obtain a visa. The Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support includes: A signed Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support form.; Proof of sufficient funds; A copy of your current passport. For timely and accurate admission review, the Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support should be uploaded via your USC Applicant Portal within two weeks of your respective application deadline. Acceptable documents*: Bank statement; Bank letter; Organizational sponsor (government, corporation, etc.); Approved/sanctioned education loans. “In-principle” sanctioned loans will not be accepted; Investment portfolio.

Students who completed secondary school/high school outside the U.S. may substitute a copy of the diploma or leaving certificate. — Students who did not finish high school should also submit a copy of their completion certificate (such as a GED) and may also submit a letter of explanation.

Your responses should be no more than 200 words in length for each written question. Submit your Portfolio and the Architecture Writing & Video Supplement online via the SlideRoom link provided in the Common Application. 1) Our school views architecture as a “human right,” and that design should exhibit “social consciousness.” Given your experiences within the built environment and society, explain how do you think architecture can contribute to the greater social consciousness? 2) At USC Architecture we will teach you to become strong critical thinkers. A work of architecture can be evaluated in many ways, visually, experientially, technologically, etc. With this in mind please tell us about a piece of architecture that you’ve personally experienced and how its design resonated with you.

The portfolio submission should consist of a minimum of 10 and up to 25 digital image files uploaded online Other electronic formats, or CD/DVD submissions will not be accepted. Please produce a video that presents what you consider to be your favorite project in your portfolio and why. Try to be as informative and concise as possible when you’re speaking about the project but also remember to be yourself. We are looking for students that are passionate with a keen curiosity about architecture and design
